Is a new world war between Trump and the social network 'Twitter' imminent?
The British newspaper 'Independent' reports that Donald Trump may be banned from the social network Twitter. The company has announced that it may block Trump's access if he violates the network's rules.
The announcement did not go unnoticed, and the competing social network Facebook was quick to announce that the president-elect would be able to use the social network's services - even if he violated its rules.
According to Twitter rules, it is forbidden to threaten, harass, or post hate speech against others.
A spokesperson for the network said they are fighting against these phenomena. Asked if the US president-elect was also included in these rules, after spreading hate speech during the campaign, the spokesperson replied: 'No one has priority over others.'.
The spokesman's comments come against the backdrop of Trump's harsh remarks on Twitter in recent months. In one of his attacks on Trump, Obama said: 'How can we let him run a country if he can't even manage a Twitter account?'
Immediately after the election, Trump announced that he would moderate his statements on Twitter, although since then he has already attacked various sources, including the New York Times.
