What happens when you beat the statistics and win the lottery when your chances are one in five million? And what happens when you do it again? And again? The answer to this question can be provided by the Zatra and Clavier Spencer couples who won three lotteries in one month for more than $2 million.
The Daily Press reports that on March 12, the two won the first prize of $1 million in the Powerball lottery.
14 days later, on March 26, the couple purchased ten Virginia State Lottery tickets and won an additional $50,000.
A little more than twelve hours later, Clavier drove his wife to run errands. After she got out of the car, he stopped at a 7-Eleven store and purchased a ticket for another state lottery. The result: another million dollars.
Calvin and his wife arrived to collect the money from the latest win and made it clear to the journalists who were looking at them with envy: "We're not done yet.".
