At the initiative of the Torah Culture Division at the Ministry of Education, 'Jewish Heritage Month' is held every year in the month of Sivan throughout the country. This year, Alon Moreh was honored to host the opening event, which featured Avraham Fried and Shai Ribo, who sang some of their best songs in front of an audience of about two thousand people.
The event was hosted by Kol Hai radio host Assaf Klein, who wore a special tie for the event, which he presented to Avraham Fried at the end. During the evening, the head of the Samaria Regional Council, Gershon Mesika, awarded the title of "Dear Samaria" to Mr. Shmaryahu Herman, head of the Torah Culture Division at the Ministry of Education.
Certificates of appreciation were also given to MK Nissan Slomiansky, Chairman of the Finance Committee, and to Deputy Minister of Education Avi Wertsman.
The event was produced by the director of the Shomron Community Center, David Tzur, along with the chairman of the Alon Moreh Secretariat, Elisaf Parshan, Batya Mesika, and Yehuda Shoresh.
The evening's musical management was entrusted to Yuval Stoppel, with Galei Israel Radio's Kalman Yehuda assisting in the production. The event was the opening shot for Avraham Fried and Vichy Ribeau's solo tours at summer events across the country.
