Oh, blessed be: Pelephone has recorded increased customer churn following the outage since last week.
According to a report in Globes, as of Sunday, 7,400 net customers had abandoned the company since the beginning of the month, with the bulk of the abandonments recorded in recent days, following the malfunction caused by a fire in the company's switch in Petah Tikva on Monday last week and lasting several days.
Globes emphasizes that Pelephone generally loses the fewest customers relatively due to the aggressive retention strategy it employs, and therefore the fact that it has been abandoned by such a relatively large number of customers indicates that the company has also suffered damage in terms of its relations with customers.
It is estimated that these are mainly prepaid customers who have abandoned.
The migration table obtained by Globes shows that by Sunday, Cellcom had lost about 1,000 customers, and Partner actually had a positive acquisition of about 800 customers.
Hot Mobile records strong recruitment of 6,000 customers by Sunday, and Golan Telecom has negative recruitment of 1,500 customers.
From the summary, it is clear that the cell phone was abandoned the most, and that this is probably related to a malfunction last week.
Pelephone announced on Sunday that it will compensate the company's customers following a huge glitch that caused disruptions in calls, sending text messages, and surfing the Internet.
Customers will be able to choose one of three benefits, free of charge:
1. 20 GB of browsing in Israel in addition to the existing browsing package - the benefit is valid for one month from the date of registration.
2. Musix and Super TV – Pelephone's music and television apps. The benefit is for six months from the date of registration. At the end of the benefit, the service will be disconnected, with no further billing.
3. 500 minutes of calls from Israel to abroad – calls dialed via 014 to dozens of landline destinations
Many of the company's customers were outraged by the benefits offered, claiming that they were insufficient.
It should be noted that even ultra-Orthodox customers who use the company's kosher service will not be able to enjoy the first two benefits, since they do not surf the Internet.
