Last week, the Tel Aviv Institute for Cantorship, under the direction of Cantor Naftali Hershtik, hosted the Jerusalem Cantor Choir, conducted by Paul Salter, in a unique tribute concert to the musician and educator Cantor Benjamin Glickman - the legendary conductor of the Jerusalem Choir for many years, for his many years of contribution to the world of cantorship and Jewish singing. In addition to the Tel Aviv Institute for Cantorship Choir and the Jerusalem Cantor Choir, the concert featured cantors Reuven Pinsky, Avrimy Kershenbaum, Nathan Goldman and Yochanan Hennig, who performed some of the best cantorial repertoire, accompanied by the musical accompaniment of Raymond Goldstein and Rita Feldman. An amusing moment was recorded at the end of the evening, when for the "Encore" section, the two conductors - Cantor Naftali Hershtik and Paul Salter - came together for a joint performance by the two choirs of the section "For in Me They Will Abound," to the tune of the king of cantors, Yossele Rosenblatt.   0736a236-023c-4e30-b36b-5eb470fdeaec20160307_21030620160307_21134720160307_21211920160307_22170020160307_222623e5d7a52d-45dd-4e9d-94c4-8cfaa938c157IMG_0712IMG_0736
