Yochai Ben Avi, 38, a singer and songwriter from the north, continues to produce high-quality and touching music. His musical resume includes studies at the Mizmor School, an original and excellent debut album - 'An Hour on Galilee Street', as well as original singles for holiday poems. After 'Let's Go Out' - the first and successful single, Yochai Ben Avi continues and releases a second single from a second album that is on the way. In the new song 'The Desire to Plant Trees' - which is being published ahead of the month of Shevat, Ben Avi corresponds with a proverb by Rabbi Kook. With a catchy melody and touching lyrics, he tries to revive the proverb and give it a literal and musical interpretation. One of Rabbi Kook's short compositions is called 'Maged Yirahim' and contains proverbs for the months of the year that were published over a number of years. In the proverb for the month of Shevat, the Rabbi Kook Center briefly explains the theory of planting: 'The desire to plant trees stems from the desire to benefit future generations.' Rabbi Kook reveals that this desire to plant, build and promote stems from an internal desire - 'the desire to benefit future generations.' "Why do people plant trees? Because it's fun! Taking the seedling, smelling it, putting it in the ground and watering it... I have a desire for it (and also a desire..). "I hope the new song will make you want to plant a tree too..." says Yochai, who is currently launching a head-start project for his second album.
