Samsung Israel is preparing for the launch event of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5, which will take place next Tuesday. Sales of the device in various markets around the world will officially begin on Friday, April 11, including in Israel.

The company announced the Galaxy S5 at the MWC 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month. Many claim that the device's specifications are not revolutionary and that it is merely a standard feature, with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD 1080p resolution, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of expandable storage up to a total of 128GB, a 16-megapixel camera with Ultra HD 4K video recording capability, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,800mAh battery. The device also meets the IP67 standard for water and dust resistance.

Last week, Sunny Communications joined the pre-order for the device, but did not disclose the price at which it will be offered to customers in Israel.

What is more, it is clearly evident that the price of the Galaxy 3 and 4 has been on a downward trend in recent weeks. Is there anything to wait for?
