Tweets by Yair Lapid and Yitzhak Herzog caused MK Shelly Yachimovitz from the Zionist Camp to request that the phrase "God will raise his blood" not be used: "Unbelievable, not appropriate, friends, calm down, it's hard as it is.""

MK Shelly Yachimovitz from the Zionist Camp called on her fellow politicians last night (Monday) to stop using the phrase "God will avenge their blood" for martyrs who were murdered by Arabs.

The reason? Well, she says, "it's hard as it is.".

In a tweet she posted on Twitter, Yachimovitz wrote: ""Yesterday I heard Yair Lapid say, "The Lord is Lord," today Herzog is tweeting his own "The Lord is Lord," "Unbelievable, not appropriate," friends, calm down, it's hard as it is."".

Yesterday, Zionist Union Chairman MK Yitzhak Herzog paid a condolence visit to the family home of Alon Bekel, who was murdered in the murderous terrorist attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, and subsequently tweeted the tweet that prompted Yachimovich to respond:

""Coming from the Shabbat of the Bekel family in Karmiel, who are mourning the death of Elon the 14th. I came to comfort and left comforted and moved. May his memory be blessed!""

The chairman of the Yesh Atid party, MK Yair Lapid, has also been careful in recent months to attach the words "God will avenge their blood" to the names of the murdered.
