Over 70 buses and a host of other items are on display at the Egged Museum in Holon, telling the history of public transportation in Israel. Visitors to the museum are invited to board old buses, reminisce about the early days of the country on the road, or discover them for the first time. For children, it's an experience, for adults, it's nostalgia. The buses have been renovated and renewed down to the smallest detail with the original colors, authentic equipment, and most of them are even in running condition.

Vehicles that served Egged, such as tankers, tow buses and driving school buses, also receive the respect they deserve. Incidentally, in most of the renovated vehicles, you can sit and see the driver's bag and the money pocket and the card punch with the personal shapes of each Egged member, which was used before the era of the "Rav-Kav" and printed paper cards.

Noah Slutsky, director of the Egged Museum: "In the museum located near Netevi Ayalon, you can see and feel history in simple language that speaks to the hearts of children and adults alike. Egged has been synonymous with buses for almost 80 years, and therefore most of the buses in the museum have a story: starting with the Ford Tefla (Yiddish pot), which traveled between the colonies in the 1930s and was also used to transport eggs, milk jugs, chickens and vegetables, through bus 2094 that was attacked at the Nahalim intersection the day after the November 29 vote (in an event that started the War of Independence), the first bus that traveled to Santa Catarina after the Six Days, and up to the double-decker bus that operated in Egged service in the 1990s.".

The Egged Museum, located on Moshe Dayan Street in Holon, will open its doors during the Passover holiday on Wednesday and Thursday, Chol Hamoed Passover, 16-17 Nissan, between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, on Friday, Chol Hamoed, 18 Nissan, and on Sunday, 20 Nissan between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Admission is free, as is parking.
