What happens when you campaign for one of the candidates on Election Day?
In many countries, such activity is prohibited, including in Ukraine. However, a man dressed as Chewbacca didn't particularly consider this national law and went on a rampage.
Only after many minutes did four police officers manage to take control of him and arrest him.
What is Chewbacca?
It turns out that there is a fictional television series starring a character who resembles a lion and a gorilla named Chewbacca, known to hundreds of millions around the world. This character's activities, like other fictional films, take place in space - outside of Earth.
What is fascinating and may be of interest to investigative psychiatrists is the fact that there are people, here on Earth, who identify themselves as Chewbacca, and act as if they are here by mistake.
And indeed, the citizen who rioted and was fined 170 hryvnia (about 5 euros) also told the court that he could not pay the fine, for the simple reason: his bank branch is in outer space, and he has no way of reaching his money, which is safely there.
By the way, the election intrigues in this particular district in Ukraine were not over: later in the day, when the chairman of the party supported by the Chubaks arrived at the polling station, he discovered to his great anger that his name was missing from the voter register, despite holding a Ukrainian passport.
