Get more efficient: Drawing lessons from security incidents in past years, this year the United Hatzalah organization decided to carry out a move that will assist the thousands of immigrants to Meron.
As part of the program, the community of Meron was divided into 50 areas. Numbers from 1 to 50 were placed throughout Meron and Zion Rashbi. Thus, in the event of an emergency, the public is asked to indicate the number closest to their location. Following the report that will indicate an exact location, all emergency and rescue teams will arrive at the scene as quickly as possible.
United Hatzalah notes that since the tens of thousands of immigrants to Meron are unfamiliar with the moshav, it is difficult for visitors to pinpoint its location. United Hatzalah says that lack of orientation in times of emergency has often caused delays in the arrival of emergency forces in past years.
""The map with the division of Meron into numbers by area will be forwarded to all emergency and rescue agencies in Meron," says the United Hatzalah. "Therefore, in the event of an emergency or any request for medical assistance, it is important to indicate the number of the nearby sign, and the emergency dispatchers will be able to quickly direct the drivers and security teams to the exact location.".
