There are 17,000 religions: what will happen in the end times?

He will be lifted up from the heights of the mountains: The Temple that will be built on the mountain of the house of God will be higher than anywhere else, and as a result, all the nations and all the peoples will flock to it. • Why will they flock? Because the Temple will be physically higher than any other site and will constitute an interesting tourist attraction? It is not clear

We are in the midst of the 'Tisha B'Av Fast'.

On this day we do not eat, do not bathe, and wear canvas shoes, in order to bring to our hearts the events of the destruction, the collapse of the Temple, and the exile of the people of Israel from their land. A concept of a sad day.

The thing is, for many of us, the matter seems somewhat surreal. That is, it is true that the Temple is important and we hope to see it rebuilt, etc., but what are all these sacrifices, what are the white garments, and what will happen when the Temple is built?

Or in other words: Does anyone really feel like they're missing out on any of this? Is anyone 'really' sad?

end of days

We are now in a time of destruction, of exile. In the future (we expect it to be near) the end of days will come. What will happen in the end of days?

The prophet Isaiah describes this in chapter 2, verses 1-4:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established.'

At the top of the mountains

And he lifted up his head from the hills, and all nations flowed to him...

That is, the Temple that will be built on the mountain of the house of God will be higher than anywhere else, and as a result, all the nations and all the peoples will flock to it.

Why would they flock? Because the Temple will be physically taller than any other site and will constitute an interesting tourist attraction? It doesn't seem possible.

Spirituality is necessary

There are currently 17,000 registered religions in the world, or in other words: seventeen thousand religions.

The vast majority of them are unknown, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. For each of those seventeen thousand religions, or at least most of them, there is one wise person who takes the trouble to explain to interested outsiders the principles of his religion and why it is the true religion.

Some of them may seem crazy to us, but little by little they are biting into our culture and succeeding, not in destroying its essence, but in creating something new: Judaism has become another religion, perhaps a leading, important one, but another religion.

This is evidenced by the thousands of young people who go on "trekking" in the Far East, the strange interest in practical Kabbalah, and the lack of concern for Torah and mitzvot among many. It is possible that even Jews who do believe in the Creator of the world and His Torah do so out of some kind of habit, out of the fact that they are sons of the Jewish people and nothing more.

When the Temple existed and will exist, the Mount of the Daughter of God will be exalted above the mountains, meaning the highest of all from a cultural-spiritual perspective.

The only religion will be the Jewish religion, and it will provide an appropriate response to every detail, when it will be impossible to see or believe in anything else.

Indeed, the beauty of Judaism will illuminate every corner and every corner of the world with its precious light. The rushing, as well as the endless mental torments - will disappear, depression and mental dissatisfaction will be gone, and a wonderful feeling of happiness and longing for high spirituality will fill every heart - as the prophet Isaiah continues:

And many nations went and said:

Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob.

And teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths,

For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
