During the week, Rabbi Shlomo Getsman from the United States, who was a partner in organizing the Rabbi's travels abroad, along with Rabbi Shimon Glick, arrived at the home of the Grand Rabbi Steinman at 5 Chazon Ish Street. The two asked the Grail a difficult question: In light of the terrible distress in which thousands of young men are in the Land of Israel, what does he have to say to those with wealth who are keeping a tight rein on their finances, so that they will understand the need to donate their wealth to Torah workers whose homes are empty? The head of the yeshiva replied: "You don't need to answer them anything, just say 'Give Gelat', give money... and there's no need to explain anything, because they know very well for themselves that the entire purpose of creation is to study the Torah, as it is written if not for my covenant, etc. And all the claims about why so many avrechim are needed, they know for themselves that it's nonsense. Ask them the opposite - why so many gvirim are needed..." And he repeated his first words: "You don't need to explain anything to them, just tell them to give money...""
