Thousands of people took advantage of the Independence Day holiday yesterday (Tuesday) to participate in Torah lessons and strengthening sermons.
נשיא מועצת חכמי התורה של ש"ס הגאון רבי שלום כהן והראשון לציון הגאון רבי יצחק יוסף, יצאו יחד למסע 'יום שכולו תורה', והשתתפו בשיעורי תורה ברחבי הארץ, בהשתתפות אלפים.
מי שיזם את רעיון 'יום שכולו תורה' ביום העצמאות היה הגר"ע יוסף זצ"ל, ומאז מתקיימים שיעורי תורה בכל רחבי הארץ.
למראה האלפים שהשתתפו בשיעורים ולמדו, אמר הראשון לציון הגר"י יוסף: "הלוואי שכל יום יהיה יום העצמאות..."
