Rishon LeZion plans: Special parking in Ward for pregnant women - near businesses

Soon in Haredi cities too? In Rishon LeZion, they want to help pregnant women in an original way: creating special parking lots near businesses and shopping centers - which will be designated only for pregnant women. According to the idea led by City Council member Idan Mizrahi, along with Deputy Mayor Raz Kinstlich and Security Company CEO Moti Nahmani, sections of the sidewalk near businesses will be painted pink. Pregnant women will be able to obtain a pink parking permit from the municipality that will allow them to park in the pink parking lot designated for them. The permit will be issued for one year, to make things easier for women even in the first months after giving birth. "מאחר ויש הרבה נשים הרות שיש להן קושי מסוים בהליכה למרחק, ראיתי לנכון לקדם את הנושא שקיים כבר במקומות שונים", הסביר מזרחי ל'ידיעות אחרונות', "בפגישה שקיימתי יחד עם רז קינסטליך ומוטי נחמני הבנו את הצורך והחלטנו יחד לפעול, כדי להיטיב עם נשות העיר". המקומות בהם ייקבעו חניות ורודות הם מרכזי בריאות, בניין העירייה, מרכזי קניות, רחובות ראשיים, מתחמים כמו חוף הים, רובע העיר ועוד.
