The 'Maof' program, in collaboration with the developer and the Beitar Illit Municipality, held a professional conference for the city's business owners for the first time.

The conference included panel discussions and lectures on topics that challenge business owners, both new and established businesses, who are interested in specializing and embarking on a process of economic stability and growth, and expanding their areas of activity.

The conference was attended by about 80 entrepreneurs and business owners in the city.

'Maof provides subsidized consulting and training services to entrepreneurs and business owners nationwide, and is funded by the Small and Medium Business Agency. The provision of services begins at the stage of identifying the entrepreneur and diagnosing his suitability for opening a business and independent management, up to arriving at a clear business plan and the success of the business.

The program is held through personal or group meetings, and also works to establish forums for the various business owners, and to encourage buying from each other, in the sense of "going out and making a living from each other.".

During the conference, the 'Flight' tools were presented, with special emphasis on the courses planned to open at Beitar Illit immediately after Passover, including: "Starting a Business," "Where's the Money - Financial Management," and "Closing a Deal - Sales," while in parallel with the courses, personal advice and in-depth individual guidance will be provided to entrepreneurs and business owners.

Mayor: Industrial zones will be established

Mayor Meir Rubinstein opened the meeting with a speech honoring the hostel, and with words of congratulations and thanks to the 'Maof' program and the 'Meftah' organization for their partnership and professional assistance to the city's residents. He also presented the municipality's plan to encourage employment by expanding existing and future industrial zones.

Yitzhak Efner, director of Maof in Jerusalem, said: "We welcome the welcome cooperation in the city of Beitar Illit, and the opportunity to help businesses in the city and the local economy. In the field organization of the Small Business Agency in the Ministry of Economy, we will place emphasis in the coming year on promoting business in the city, during which businesses in the city will receive more tools for business success and livelihood. We thank the Beitar Illit Community Center hostel for hosting the business courses that will open in the city after Passover.".

Reuven Gorbat, head of the Haredi division at Joint Israel-Tebet, explained: "The goal of Joint Israel-Tebet is to develop programs and transfer them to the designated government authorities after their success, as we did with key centers in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak.

""We previously developed the 'Blessing in Business' program, which helped establish more than 1,000 businesses by Haredi entrepreneurs, and recently, the Ha'Mof Centers have been successfully established even more intensively, based on the existing program and after learning from the experience gained and with the help of the Small Business Agency of the Ministry of Economy.".

""The Betar Illit Key Program has been operating since 2007, when we have provided service to thousands of job seekers from the city, and to hundreds of employers from the town and beyond. We are planning to move to a new, larger and more spacious location soon, so that we can provide a better, more comprehensive response and in additional areas.". It is important for small business owners to use the professional human resources working in the developer to locate the employees who will help them promote their businesses.

""We are happy to take part in this evening and in the Maof activity going forward, a business entrepreneurship service that complements the employment service we provide.".

The participants expressed their satisfaction with the evening, and as one of them put it well: "The evening opened up many avenues of thought for me, and I also received tips and courses of action during the evening. Today I know how to run a business properly.".
