Don't throw us away in old age: An elderly woman named Hugot from the south of France slipped in the bathtub and survived for six days surviving on tap water alone.

Hugot, whose story was reported on the Mirror website, went into the bathroom and slipped on the wet floor. She tried to reach the emergency button fixed on the bathtub sill itself, but simply couldn't.

For about 150 hours – six days, Hugot drank water from the tap she was near while lying on the floor.

And how was her life saved anyway? The local postwoman, a woman named Sylvette Hilo, arrived at Hugot's house to deliver a piece of mail, and after ringing the doorbell without a response, she noticed that the shutters were open.

This aroused her suspicion, and she called the emergency services, who broke into the house and saved the elderly woman's life.

To most people's surprise, Hugot was in excellent condition, and only asked them for a 'glass of milk'.
