Jerusalem: Four teachers slightly injured by inhaling toxic substance

A maintenance worker at Masad apparently purchased an unidentified pesticide from the Palestinian Authority and sprayed it on a floor full of students. Fire crews evacuated all students from the building and are working to examine the nature of the substance and monitor it.

Four teachers were slightly injured as a result of inhaling a toxic substance during a pest control operation at the 'Secret Garden' educational institution on Zaritsky Street in Jerusalem. Volunteer paramedics from the Jerusalem branch of United Hatzalah provided initial medical treatment to the injured. Firefighters and police are working at the scene to investigate the circumstances.
Fire crews evacuated all students from the building and are working to examine and monitor the nature of the material.
The Jerusalem District Fire Department spokeswoman said: "This is a maintenance worker who apparently bought an unidentified pesticide from the Palestinian Authority and sprayed it on a floor full of students.".
