Ahead of the 1st of Tammuz, the day of celebration of the righteous Joseph, the singer and composer releases Amnon Ben Shach New single: ""Joseph"" A moving and profound poem dedicated to the figure of the righteous Joseph, the beloved son of our father Jacob.
The connection between Amnon and the character of the righteous Joseph is deep and personal. "I really love the character of the righteous Joseph and am connected to it," says Amnon. "Joseph would dream dreams, in which his brothers harassed him and threw him into a pit full of snakes and scorpions, where he survived through joy and faith in the name, by keeping the covenant, until he arrived in Egypt and ascended to kingship.""
The lyrics of the song were written by Amnon several years ago, and were already included in a book of poems he published two years ago. The melody was created in collaboration with Omar Quint, his friend, and the musical production was realized Roman Greenblatt. "Part of Roman's soul is also in the song," says Amnon.
The song is being released at a time when many people go to commemorate the grave of the righteous Joseph, light a candle for him and pray that his righteousness will protect the people of Israel. "This is my way of paying homage to the righteous Joseph," Amnon emphasizes.
