Footage from a flight of the Jordanian national airline Royal Jordanian is causing a stir: In a video circulated on social media, the plane's captain can be heard using the public address system to convey anti-Israeli messages.

During the flight, as it flew over Israel, the pilot addressed the passengers in Arabic and English and said over the public address system: "Honored passengers of Royal Jordanian, we would like to inform you that we are now flying over Palestinian lands. For anyone who misses the city of Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Palestine, you can now see it from the left window. You can see the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the golden Dome of the Rock, and the Al-Haram al-Sharif. The plane will pass over the city of Bethlehem.".

Noam Party Chairman, MK Avi Maoz, sent an urgent and pointed letter to the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Shmuel Zakai. Maoz defined the incident as serious and unacceptable, constituting a cynical exploitation of a civilian flight, and demanded action against the Jordanian airline to receive clarifications and an official apology.

""The use of Israel's airspace to spread messages that deny the sovereignty and identity of the state cannot be allowed to become part of the agenda," Maoz emphasized in his letter.

'Royal Jordanian has completely stopped its regular flights on the direct route between Amman and Tel Aviv since the outbreak of the Iron Sword War, but its planes continue to regularly use Israeli airspace on their way to various destinations in Europe and the United States.
