Will he bypass the High Court? The Finance Committee approved the 'Dorm Law' for first reading today (Tuesday).

Degel Hatorah Chairman MK Moshe Gafni said: "We are ensuring that women can go out to work and earn a decent living.""

According to Gafni's office, the bill will be submitted tomorrow for approval by the Knesset plenum in the first reading in order to continue the legislative process, with the guiding principle being protecting working women and encouraging them to enter the labor market.

The religious Zionist faction made a 'roundabout' on the approval of the law and announced: "An achievement for Smotrich and religious Zionism in the Finance Committee - at the request of religious Zionism, prioritizing reserve soldiers was incorporated into the wording of the dormitory law that was just approved by the committee." Party officials emphasized: "We are committed to our heroic fighters and to continuing to preserve the national camp and the right-wing bloc.".

The office of Degel Hatorah Chairman MK Moshe Gafni responded: "Smotrich's desperate attempt to garner votes by presenting an 'achievement' that has already existed for many years is ridiculous and disconnected from reality.

""The Israeli public is much more intelligent than religious Zionists believe. The attempts to recycle old agreements and present them as new achievements will not deceive anyone. And the ongoing struggle over the electoral threshold is evidence of this like a thousand witnesses.".

The initiator of the law, Deputy Minister Israel Eichler, congratulated: "I commend the committee members who voted in favor of the important dormitory law, which will do justice to mothers' rights to earn a living, regardless of the father's actions.".

""We hope that the law will soon be approved by the plenum on first reading, in preparation for final legislation without delay.".
