Iris Chaim, the mother of the kidnapped Yotam Chaim, who was accidentally killed by IDF fire in the Gaza Strip, sent a warning letter before taking legal action against the ultra-Orthodox publicist Dov Halbertal - following a scathing post he published against her on Facebook.
According to a report by Lee Ayish on I24 Channel, in the letter, Haim demands compensation of 100,000 shekels - and the publication of an apology.
Among other things, Halbertal wrote in the post: "... Iris Haim, who is about to receive a Likud armor. This woman, the one who is haunted by honor and publicity, who has only shone since her son's murder. It is assumed that she planned her entire path to politics in advance and is treading on the blood of her son, who was ordered to become a world celebrity. On her son's grave, she will write 'How good that he was murdered.' What a kindness Hamas did to her.".
Yotam Haim was kidnapped from the youth neighborhood in Kfar Aza on October 7, 2023. He survived in captivity for 65 days, and was accidentally killed by IDF fire on December 15, 2023 during his escape from his captors.
