Is President Yitzhak Herzog afraid of flying over the United States? MK Nissim Vaturi of the Likud claims that the answer is yes.
In an interview he gave this morning (Tuesday) on 'Kol Berama' radio, Vattori said that while the Prime Minister's 'Wing of Zion' plane does not fly over countries like Turkey, President Herzog does not fly over the United States - for fear of being arrested.
Vattori referred to the president's diplomatic visit to Costa Rica and Panama, saying: "'Wings of Zion' does not fly over certain countries. You are right, because it is an Air Force plane. Therefore, it has to request permission over every place it flies, so it requests refueling. There are countries that we trust, 'Wings of Zion' will not fly over Turkey. So he wanted to shorten the route, the president of the country because he probably has immunity in Turkey, but he was afraid to fly over the United States...""
When interviewer Israel Cohen asked why, what would they do to him, what was the concern?
Vattori replied: "President Trump, don't stop him...""
Will they stop him in the sky? Will they force him to land?
