MK Meir Porush and Yisrael Eichler demanded today (Monday), at a Knesset faction meeting, that the United Torah Judaism party condition every vote in the Knesset plenum with the coalition - on advancing a bill that will immediately benefit the Haredi public.
At the faction meeting, it was agreed that in exchange for supporting the transfer of the Interior Minister's powers, which is on the agenda, United Torah Judaism will demand that the dormitory law initiated by MK Yisrael Eichler be approved in a preliminary reading this week.
Additionally, they will also demand the advancement of the overriding clause and other laws designed to ease the burden of sanctions on Torah students - and to assist in regulating the status of yeshiva students.
