The IDF's war on belief in the coming of the Messiah: The commander of the Southern Command, Major General Yaniv Asor, decided to reduce by 19 days the sentence of a Nahal fighter who was sentenced to 30 days in prison for wearing a Messiah patch on his arm.
The decision was made following official recommendations submitted by the commander of the Nahal Brigade and the commander of Division 162.
The move came to fruition after the commander of the Nahal Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Arik Moyal, came to visit the soldier in the military prison.
During the meeting between the two, the soldier took responsibility and expressed remorse. Following the soldier's willingness to accept responsibility for his actions, the command move to mitigate the punishment was approved.
In this way, under the threat of imprisonment, the IDF imposes on soldiers the progressive values that dominate the army.
