The terrorist organization Hamas has found a successor to Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, the head of the military wing who was killed on Saturday night in Gaza City.
Is 100,000 NIS right for you before Shavuot? Last hours for the big lottery!
According to a report today (Monday) in the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat from several sources in the organization, the heir - Muhammad Odeh - was one of Al-Haddad's close associates and worked with him on renewing the organizational structure of the military wing, after the assassination of Muhammad Deif and Muhammad Sinwar.
On October 7, Odeh served as the head of military intelligence in Hamas' military wing, and after the assassination of Muhammad Sinwar a year ago, he was offered the position of head of the military wing, but he refused - so al-Haddad was appointed to the position.
Kan News reported that two other sources stated that they have no information confirming this matter.
According to the report, Odeh was responsible for collecting intelligence information on some of the IDF bases in the encirclement.

In practice, there is no one who would compete with Odeh for the position of commander of the military wing, since he is the last remaining founding member of the Military Council - of which no member is alive, except for Home Front commander Imad Akel, who did not take a practical part in planning or carrying out the massacre on October 7.
Al-Haddad was killed on Saturday night in an attack on a residential building in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza. Hamas officially confirmed the killing, revealing that the mastermind was killed along with his wife and daughter.
