According to the Meteorological Service, today (Sunday) temperatures will rise and reach 42 degrees in the Arava and the Dead Sea, 40 degrees in the Negev, about 38 in the lowlands and 32-34 degrees in the mountains. Humidity will be low and dry and hot conditions will prevail throughout the country.
On Monday, temperatures will begin to drop but will still be hotter and drier than usual, winds will strengthen, and there may also be haze and poor visibility conditions.
Only on Tuesday will temperatures return to normal for the season, and on Thursday, the eve of Shavuot, it will be noticeably cooler than average, and there may even be light rain in the north and center.
Forecast:
Sunday - It will be partly cloudy with high altitude clouds. There will be a significant increase in temperatures and it will be very hot in most areas of the country, and the heaviness of the heat load will be felt in most areas. During the day, winds will strengthen and haze is possible in the south of the country.
Monday - Partly cloudy with high cloud cover. Temperatures will drop mainly in the coastal plain and the lowlands, but it will continue to be warmer than usual for the season in most areas of the country. There will be a noticeable relief from the heat stress.
Tuesday - Clear to partly cloudy. There will be another slight drop in temperatures. Temperatures will be normal for the season.
Wednesday - Partly cloudy. Temperatures will drop further and will be lower than normal for the season. Drizzle to light local rain possible in the north of the country.
