The law, which passed with a rare majority of 93 supporters, establishes the legal framework for trying Hamas terrorists and their accomplices for the most serious offenses committed during the murderous attack, with the maximum penalty stipulated in the law being death.

Alongside this, a dramatic reservation by MKs Simcha Rotman and Yulia Malinovsky was approved, stating that terrorists who are tried under this law will never be released from prison, not even as part of future prisoner exchange deals.

Justice Minister Yariv Levin welcomed the approval: "The law guarantees that the terrorists and their accomplices will be brought to justice and face their punishment, including the imposition of death sentences. Out of the terrible massacre, we rose up, for the memory of the murdered, for their families, for the physically and mentally injured, for those who were kidnapped, and for the entire people, to fulfill our lofty moral duty: to bring the perpetrators of the horrific massacre to justice. I thank the Chair of the Constitution Committee, MK Simcha Rotman, MK Yulia Malinovsky, and all those engaged in the important work of advancing the law.".

The chairman of the Constitution Committee, MK Simcha Rotman, quoted from the poem of the listener: "Let us rejoice, O Gentiles, with Him, for the blood of His servants will be avenged, and He will avenge His enemies and redeem His land with Him.".

He added: "Tonight, the State of Israel took a historic step of justice and national remembrance. The law to prosecute the Nuhba terrorists passed and sends a clear and unequivocal message to our enemies: Those who slaughtered, murdered, raped, and kidnapped Israeli citizens will be prosecuted and will pay the heaviest price. The State of Israel will not forget or forgive. This is a moral debt to the victims, the bereaved families, the kidnapped, and the entire Israeli people.".

""The entire world will see, hear and know exactly what cruel evil the State of Israel faced on October 7th and how it will come to terms with it.".

MK Yulia Malinovsky emphasized the magnitude of the hour: "Almost three years later, the road to justice has finally been paved. The law to prosecute the terrorists of the October 7 massacre passed the second and third reading in the plenum with a consensus that I cannot remember. The clock is counting down for those who harmed the State of Israel, and the modern Eichmann trials will be held in the capital of Israel, Jerusalem. This is a law that is history and a national heritage. I dedicate this law to the victims, the abductees, their families, and every citizen living in this country. The people of Israel live!""

Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman, MK Avigdor Lieberman: "Historic justice is underway! The law to bring the October 7 terrorists to justice, initiated and led by MK Yulia Malinovsky, passed the second and third readings and entered the law book of the State of Israel.

""The Nuhba terrorists who committed the most brutal atrocities against Israeli citizens will stand trial here, in the capital of Israel, for crimes against humanity and attempted genocide - and will pay the heaviest price!

""As MK Malinowski accurately summed it up: 'The Eichmann trials of our generation will be held in the capital of Israel, Jerusalem.'".

""This is justice for the victims, the kidnapped, the families and the entire people of Israel. We will not forget and we will not forgive!""
