After the arrest of an illegal resident, 25 years old from Hebron, who was found in a hidden apartment in Jaffa with mezuzahs that he had torn off and stolen from homes in Holon and Bat Yam, Holon police officers arrested another suspect, a 20-year-old resident of Judea and Samaria, who was found in an apartment in Holon.
The two are suspected of acting together.
During the search conducted during the arrest of the additional suspect, dozens of mezuzahs were seized that the suspect allegedly tore off and stole along with his accomplice.
Additionally, as part of the arrests, the police located five additional illegal residents in the apartments where the two were staying, who were also arrested.
This morning, the police will request an extension of the suspects' detention at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court.
