A historical milestone in the Binyamin Council: The Shivlot farm, which was established in recent days near the settlement of Mevo Horon, has become the 50th farm in Binyamin.
This is a strategic point of support, joining the dozens of other points already operating in the area. The council makes it clear that although this is a milestone in the campaign for the space, they do not intend to stop and are racing forward.
The farm project is the 'wall and tower' of our time - a strategic event designed to prevent hostile takeover of state lands and prevent terrorism.
The State of Israel has been leading the project in recent years, and the farms are being established in close cooperation with the IDF and under the leadership of the Ministry of Settlement, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Settlement Division, and other entities.
The settlement system in the council currently operates in two complementary and coordinated arms: the establishment of new settlements alongside dozens of agricultural farms. The farms are not isolated points, but strategic links that link the existing settlements and create a solid Israeli continuity. This deployment connects the areas of Binyamin – the heart of the country – to Jerusalem and the Dan bloc, and blocks attempts at hostile takeover of state lands.
The map of Binyamin shows a wide spread of farms in the areas of West Binyamin, Gush Shiloh, East Binyamin, and the spaces between the settlements. The farms act as "guardians of the land" through agriculture, grazing, and a permanent presence, ensuring Israeli control of strategic roads and assets. Alongside the farm project, there are many hills in Binyamin that have emerged and operate independently.
Minister of Settlement and National Missions Orit Struk: "The farms are the game-changer in the campaign to repair the damage of Oslo: the first-class tool through which the State of Israel manages to preserve state lands, provide an effective response to the PA's takeover project, and also create spatial security control throughout Judea and Samaria. I salute the pioneers of the farms, and see it as a great privilege and an equally great duty to provide them with government support.".
The head of the Binyamin Council and the chairman of the Yesha Council, Israel Gantz, said: "Binyamin is breaking new ground in the field of farms and settlement in open space. We are proud to assist the farms that connect the settlements and connect Binyamin to the State of Israel in an unbreakable bond. Every week, the farms prevent terrorism and criminal activity, and death the defense belt of the center of the country. We must understand - it's either us or the PA's terror army, the long arm of Iran.".
""I thank the Government of Israel for its leadership and support of the initiative, the Minister of Settlement and National Missions Orit Struck, the Minister of Agriculture Avi Dichter, the Chairman of the Settlement Division Yishai Marling, the Central Command Major General Avi Balut, and all the partners who are assisting in this important project. Our farmers are the Zionists of our time and ensure the existence and prosperity of the State of Israel. This is what de facto sovereignty looks like.".
