According to a joint statement by the police spokeswomen, Shin Bet spokesperson, and IDF spokesperson, three soldiers and a civilian were arrested in March 2026 on suspicion of having long-term ties with Iranian intelligence elements and carrying out missions under their direction - while they were minors before being drafted into the IDF.

Their investigation also revealed that one of the operatives worked to recruit the other defendants, and within this framework, they carried out various photography missions across the country and were even asked to purchase weapons.

As part of their missions, the defendants documented and transmitted to the operators photos and videos of various sites, including train stations, shopping centers, security cameras, as well as documentation of the Air Force Technical School, where some of the suspects studied.

In addition, some of the defendants contacted the operator on their own initiative to carry out security missions, and some were even involved in vandalizing property as part of the connection.

Today (Friday), the Haifa District Attorney's Office filed serious indictments against them.

This case joins a series of recent cases that demonstrate repeated efforts by terrorist and hostile intelligence elements to recruit Israeli citizens to carry out missions intended to harm the security of the State of Israel and its residents.

""The security agencies of the State of Israel once again warn citizens and residents of the State of Israel against maintaining contact with foreign entities and carrying out missions for them. All security agencies and enforcement agencies will work to bring to justice all those involved in such activity," the joint statement said.

""The public is asked to continue to report to the General Security Service or the Israel Police any suspicious requests received from an unidentified party to perform various tasks.".
