After nine months of delay: Defense Minister Yisrael Katz signed today (Thursday) the confidentiality certificate in the case of the disclosure of the name of a Shin Bet agent by MK Tali Gottlieb.
The confidentiality certificate will allow an indictment to be filed against a Likud MK who revealed the identity of the partner of the protest activist who stood up in Resler.
Gottlieb refused to appear for questioning and hearing.
Although the indictment has already been prepared, in order to file an indictment that includes classified evidence, the Minister of Defense's signature on a confidentiality certificate is required.
Katz delayed his signature - which delayed the filing of the indictment.
Bresler's partner, a Shin Bet agent whose identity is confidential, filed a lawsuit in December in the Lod District Court for approximately 8 million shekels against 21 people spreading allegations about him, including MK Gottlieb and tweeters and activists on social media.
Gottlieb responded: "To all those concerned! The persecutor Miara is invited to file an indictment against me for exposing the partner of the leader of the rebellion and the incitement that led us towards me, Pi Pah.
""Miyara, don't be too quick to rejoice. As a reminder, you have an obligation to receive the approval of the Knesset committee, and I have every intention of convincing the coalition members who are the majority in the committee to leave me immunity. I recommend that you activate your members from one of the organizations to draft a High Court order.".
""I am not being threatened, as you know. I will work to expose the guilt of the top brass of the Shin Bet for the infernal events of October, and you will not be able to shut my mouth.".
