The 'hanging rope' cake that National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir received at his birthday party held on Saturday night led to the arrest of an 83-year-old man.
According to a report today (Monday) by Lee Ayish on Channel I24, the elderly man - a resident of the Central Region - was arrested last night after sending the minister a threatening message following the cake.
The threatening message read: "I would be happy to see you first in Israel on the gallows in the Western Wall plaza.".
According to the report, the elderly man claimed during his interrogation that the cake made by the minister's wife, Ayala, "upset" him.
At the end of the investigation, he was released to house arrest for five days.
Ben-Gvir celebrated his 50th birthday on Saturday night - with the participation of many senior police officers, ministers, and Likud members, including Defense Minister Yisrael Katz.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not attend the event - and called to congratulate.
