The District Court announced this morning (Monday) the cancellation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's testimony in the Elfim cases, which was scheduled to be held today.
The decision was made following an update provided by the Prime Minister's defense attorney, attorney Amit Hadad, during the night.
About an hour after the announcement, the court published the letter sent by Hadad, which stated that the reason for the request was "security consultations until the wee hours" and "continuation of a security schedule.".
A few hours before the announcement of the cancellation of the testimony, Attorney Gali Baharav-Miara sent an official letter to President Yitzhak Herzog. In the letter, the attorney announced that she and State Attorney Amit Isman "are ready to hold a dialogue about an arrangement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.".
However, the rabbi explained reservations about the move: she made it clear that she would agree to the dialogue in question provided that "there are no preconditions or harm to the progress of the trial.".
The Prime Minister has not yet responded to the contents of the letter.
