Minister of the Negev, the Galilee and National Resilience, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, said this evening (Sunday), in a post he published on his social media, that Channel 12 tried to raise an 'item' about him and claim that he did not visit the north enough during the war.
""Earlier last week, I received an interesting query from Yoav Limor and Nesli Barda's morning show on Channel 12," the minister wrote. "They asked me if I had visited the north since Operation 'Harry's Roar.' So I answered them.".
Wasserlauf, who sought to refute the suggestion that he was absent from the field, sent the system his full and detailed schedule from recent weeks, which includes no less than 43 tours of the conflict line communities, meetings with heads of authorities, and visits to evacuation centers.
""I'll skip to the end," the minister wrote. "After I sent my schedule, they were apparently surprised and the system decided not to publish the item.".
The minister hinted that the query was intended to present him as someone who was not active on the ground during a crisis, and once his high level of involvement became clear - as any average follower knows - the media interest waned.
He attached to the post his full response to Channel 12's query, which includes the complete and long list of visits - alongside dozens of photos documenting the visits and meetings.
Channel 12 did not issue a response to the minister's claims.
