Yair Lapid reacted angrily on social media last night to Ayala Hasson's article in 'Kan Hades' about his union with Bennett. A source from the 'Behad' party claimed that the article featured the caption "From enemies to partners" - and claimed that Netanyahu was pressured.
In response, Ayala Hasson responded strongly to his words and claimed that he published a "false incitement post" about her.
In the post, Hasson revealed the message she wrote to the opposition chairman: "Lapid Shalom, it's a shame that you pressed in vain and, as usual, you lied. You also incited against me, and not for the first time, and you also didn't watch the article on television. Because if you had watched, you would have seen that nowhere in my article as it was broadcast, neither in my voice nor in the caption, did the phrase 'from enemies to partners' appear.".
Hasson claimed that the caption accompanying the article was "Who will stand at the head?" - and added that if there was a caption of "From enemies to partners" in digital - it had nothing to do with her, and according to her, she had no involvement there.
""I'm sure there was no bad intention there either," she added, and ended with a stinging remark: "Don't get too carried away, that's not what will help you. And slandering me isn't what will help you. And later you'll whine about poison machines.".
In his post, Lapid was furious about the caption and claimed that he and Bennett are not enemies. Lapid mentioned that the two began working together in 2013, when they founded the "Brotherhood Alliance," and that over the years the partnership also turned into a friendship. He added that even before Bennett's retirement in 2022, he came to the cabinet to assist him, and even congratulated him personally when he announced his return to politics. "Netanyahu is afraid of the union, so there is a campaign. The truth is, he is rightly afraid.".
In a conversation with Fathi and Zimri Ba'am on Gali Israel radio, Hasson said: "This man is a poison machine! During the article I wrote, not a single word of that kind was said - neither by me nor at any point in the strip on the screen. The headline was 'Who Will Be in Charge?' But he, as usual, is a swindler - someone sent him a promotion on Kan 11's digital channel, and he, without seeing the article, chose to do a spin on me.
""Until this moment, he has not deleted his false post, and until now he has not apologized for this incitement.".
Fathi: "What did this concern him? In the post he starts listing all his collaborations with Bennett.".
Hasson: "I actually saw an ad this week that was a minute before the reunion with Bennett - and I have to admit that he was right about that, Bennett called him: 'Toxic, toxic, toxic.' I decided that I wasn't going to sit around and get slapped around by them for nothing. Anyone who wants a few likes is making a go of me. The picking is over!""
