The chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Solberg, ruled that the request was submitted without authority and that the legal time had not yet come to examine the names of the Knesset lists.

Following the announcement by former prime ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid of a joint run under the name "Together", Avi Shaked, chairman of the "Together We Will Succeed" party, filed a request for a restraining order.

Shaked claimed that the similar name would lead to misleading voters and serious confusion regarding his party.

Judge Noam Solberg, as stated, rejected the request out of hand:

Lack of authority: It was determined that if it concerns the registration of a party, the authority lies with the Registrar of Parties. If it concerns the name of a list for the Knesset, the legal deadline for objections has not yet arrived since the lists have not yet been submitted.

Lack of evidentiary basis: The applicant did not attach certificates of registration for his own party and did not substantiate his legal grounds.

Failure to prove interference with propaganda: The judge noted that no evidence was presented that the "Together We Will Succeed" party is conducting any propaganda activity that could be harmed by the use of the name.

The application was dismissed without an order as to costs.
