The Jewish community in London is anxious: 'The anti-Semitic 'stabbing attack' that took place today (Wednesday) in the Golders Green neighborhood, in which Shlomo Rand, 34, and Moshe Shein, 76, were attacked in broad daylight by a terrorist and seriously injured - shook the Jewish citizens of Britain.
The two injured were evacuated to the hospital in serious condition, and after medical treatment, it was reported that their condition was described as "stable.".
The London police have already classified the incident as a terrorist attack. The 45-year-old bomber is a British citizen who was born in Somalia. He is in custody after being released from hospital.
The sister of Shlomo Rand, a British-American citizen who works in real estate and mortgages, told the media that the knife was just inches away from fatally damaging vital organs.
""He is a hard-working, contributing person who was walking peacefully down the street - and the terrorist just pounced on him," she said.
According to her, the attack is a direct result of rising anti-Semitism: "It's horrifying but not surprising, we are targets of anti-Semitism all the time.".
The second injured man, 76-year-old Moshe Shein, was stabbed while waiting for a bus at the bus stop. His friends described him as a quiet, charming man who had never harmed anyone. "He was just waiting for the bus after prayer. It was horrible," said one of his friends.
