Earlier today (Tuesday), during an administrative trip by Jerusalem Border Patrol patrols from Tel Aviv to their base in Jerusalem, near the Shilat intersection, the patrols noticed a man standing in the center of the road calling for help.
The patrolmen immediately stopped on the side of the road and ran towards a nearby vehicle, where they noticed an elderly driver unconscious, after apparently suffering a medical incident and beginning to choke, while hitting the vehicle in front of him.
Since the vehicle was locked, one of the patrol officers took a jackhammer from the vehicle, broke the vehicle window, and opened the door from the inside.
Immediately afterwards, the patrol officers rescued the driver, removed the seat belt, stopped the vehicle safely, and performed life-saving operations on it, while receiving telephone instructions from the MDA hotline.
The patrols continued the professional and rapid treatment until the arrival of the medical teams from United Hatzalah and MDA, who continued to provide medical treatment and evacuated the man for further treatment.
