The chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth, commented today (Tuesday) on security developments, after a review he received - and said that the Iranian regime is expected to pay a heavy price.
In a tweet he posted on his X-network account, Bismuth emphasized the importance of maintaining routine among the public, along with vigilance - and called it: "Stay alert.".
""The Iranian regime is about to pay a very heavy price," he said at the end of a security review. "Calling for continued routine, waiting patiently and remaining alert.".
Earlier today, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, during a confidential security review, attacked Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir for his absence from the committee's discussions.
""It is not possible for the Chief of Staff to choose when to appear before the Knesset," said Bismuth.
According to a report by Michael Shemesh in 'Kan News', Bismuth requested a vote in the committee to oblige Chief of Staff Zamir to attend the review: "Appearing is not a request, it is an obligation.".
MK Yael Ron Ben-Moshe of the Blue and White party joined his words: "The Chief of Staff is preventing us from our duty to maintain parliamentary oversight of the IDF.".
An IDF representative asked to abstain from the vote and try to still coordinate a date for the Chief of Staff to appear before the committee.
