MK Walid al-Hawashla of the Ra'am party, which represents the Islamic Movement - Southern Faction, calls for the completion of negotiations to establish the Joint List, ahead of the next Knesset elections.
According to a report on Channel 7, in a video he published in Arabic, Al-Hawashla said that the Bennett-Lafid union should spur the Arab parties to a similar move.
According to him, RAAM proposed establishing a technical and pluralistic joint list, which would unite all Arab parties in the election campaign, and after the elections, the political path forward would be determined.
Al-Hawashla emphasized that the main goal is to become an "influential political force" and bring about the replacement of the current government with another government, in which the Arabs will be able to influence decision-making.
According to him, the joint Arab political force is the one that will be able to influence who will be the prime minister, who will be in the opposition, and who will be able to influence policy - including on issues that are important to the Arab public, such as violence and crime, house demolitions, and "extremism and racism" in Israel.
