The young man Nehorai Bachar, 23 years old, a student at the 'Hazon Mordechai' yeshiva in Herzliya, was arrested at noon (Monday) by the military police - and taken into military custody.

The young man was a student of the yeshiva of the Gaon Rabbi David Shmueli. He maintained a proper "deferment" throughout the years, and when the deferments stopped about two years ago, he received draft orders, did not report as ordered by all the great men of Israel - and became a "deferrer.".

According to Rabbi Yehuda Blau of the Am Kedosh organization, his arrest occurred in an unusual and precedent-setting manner: in the midst of study in the yeshiva hall, at 12 noon, he received a phone call supposedly from a courier company, and was called to go out and "pick up a shipment" that had arrived.

When he went out to the square next to the yeshiva building, military police officers were waiting for him there, and they suddenly arrested him.

He was arrested and taken by them to the military detention camp in Tel Hashomer.

'The faction led by Rabbi Friedman announced that it will hold mass demonstrations tomorrow following his arrest.

The Foundation for Fighting the Draft Decree stated: "The persecution against the Torah world is increasing, against the backdrop of yesterday's ruling by the High Court of Justice and the order to carry out arrests by the police, in parallel with the imposition of severe sanctions, with the goal of severely harming the Torah world. In this situation, we will not be able to sit idly by, and we will go out to make a noise in the world and raise the cry of all Haredi Judaism.".

Meanwhile, another arrest took place overnight in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem. In the dead of night, military police officers knocked on the door of the home of Yair Wasdi, aged 20, a student at the Shalom Bneich yeshiva in the Gilo neighborhood.

The Am Qadush organization reports that the arrest occurred after the police threatened the family members that they would break down the door of the house. The family opened it and the young man was arrested.

"Am Qedosh notes that there is no legal obligation to open the door to the military police, and without a special order they cannot break in, and these are idle threats.".
