Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was scheduled to testify again this morning (Monday) in his trial, after a two-month break due to the war, but the hearing was canceled just an hour and a half before its scheduled opening.

The cancellation came following an urgent request submitted by Netanyahu's defense attorneys at the last minute, related to security reasons.

According to the court's announcement, a formal request explaining the reason for the cancellation will be submitted to the case later today - and only then will an official decision be made regarding the continuation of the proceedings.

According to a report by Avishai Greenzig, Attorney Amit Hadad informed the judges' secretary by phone before 8:00 that Netanyahu had a security schedule today and therefore would not be able to testify.

The judges accepted the request and canceled the hearing. The prosecution was subsequently informed that the hearing had been canceled.

The prosecution's response was not requested.
