
President of the State Isaac Herzog will depart tomorrow (Monday) for an official visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kamelevich Tokayev.
Kazakhstan announced five months ago that it had joined the Abraham Accords, and is a member of the Peace Council led by US President Donald Trump.
The President's visit is intended to reflect and accelerate the partnership between the countries.
During the visit, which will last about two days, the President of the State will meet with the President of Kazakhstan and senior Kazakh government officials to discuss joint political and economic issues.
The President will also meet with representatives and leaders of the local Jewish community.
As part of the visit, the President is expected to participate in the welcoming event of the Israeli Embassy in Kazakhstan, on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day of the State of Israel.
