Have the masks been removed? Yair Golan, chairman of the 'Democrats' party, provided a shocking glimpse tonight (Saturday night) into what he defines as the 'work plan' of the next government.
In an interview he gave to the program "Meet the Press," Golan announced his intention to carry out a "stable cleaning," which includes the dismissal of Shin Bet chief David Zini. "As soon as we form a government, we will remove David Zini from the Shin Bet," Golan said.
Regarding the new head of the Mossad, Roman Gofman said: "He will be judged by his actions.".
Golan's 'purge' does not stop in the security establishment, but also in the media: it threatens to black out Channel 14, a media outlet that serves millions of viewers in Israel. It is a challenge to freedom of expression in Israel, and an attempt to silence critical voices and eliminate competition in the media market.
