About an hour later - at 5:17 PM, alerts were activated regarding the intrusion of a UAV in communities in the Western Galilee, including Hanita, Ya'ara, Matzoba, Shlomi, Betzet, Rosh Hanikra and Avdon. The IDF reported that the Air Force intercepted a suspected aerial target and lost contact with another target, without casualties.
Shortly before the rockets were launched, the IDF announced that it had intercepted a suspicious aerial target in the area of force activity in southern Lebanon, which did not cross into Israeli territory and therefore no alerts were activated.
