The Ministry of Defense's Mine and Ordnance Clearance Authority detonated more than 700 mines near Kibbutz Ein Zivan today (Thursday).
The Mine and Explosive Ordnance Clearance Authority at the Ministry of Defense works throughout the year to clear minefields and explosive ordnance throughout the country - as part of a multi-year plan to liberate areas suspected of being mined, for the benefit of commerce, industry, and residences.
Over the past year, the Authority has cleared over 6,700 dunams suspected of being mined and detonated throughout Israel - including thousands of dunams in the Golan Heights.
