Another departure from the bureau: In a joint statement by the Prime Minister and his advisor, Ofer Golan, the two announced that Golan had informed Netanyahu of his decision to end his role as his spokesman and advisor, a position he had held for the past decade.

Prime Minister Netanyahu: "Over the years, Ofer was a partner in the journey, acting with great professionalism and dedication, with full commitment and discretion, and made a significant contribution to me with wise advice and common sense.".

Ofer Golan: "I am ending my term with enormous appreciation for the Prime Minister, and ardent faith in him and his mission. I have seen firsthand his unimaginable ability to skillfully navigate between desires, constraints, and needs, while uncompromisingly safeguarding the good of the country and its citizens - and bringing about extraordinary achievements.".

""I saw how the Prime Minister runs the country with sacred reverence, and I watched in amazement as he, with great strength of spirit, brought about historic moves that shaped, strengthened, and fortified the State of Israel - and in fact, redefined it.".

"With a heart full of appreciation, I would like to personally thank the Prime Minister's wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu, and all the family members, for a decade of joint and intensive work. I have been granted complete trust, extraordinary closeness, and warm treatment that have become an inseparable part of my professional and personal path.".

""I thank the Netanyahu family for the trust and the right to accompany them and stand by them even in the most challenging moments over the years, out of a deep sense of true partnership.".

Moti Castel, Channel 14's political correspondent, reported on the behind-the-scenes story of Ofer Golan's departure from the bureau.

According to sources close to the Prime Minister, Golan was disappointed that "he did not accept the responsibility of managing the campaign in the upcoming elections. Golan, who made his home outside Netanyahu's office, has been seen less and less in the office lately.".

According to Castel, "Golan was the one who advised Ziv Agmon in drafting the announcement that he would remain and that his statements had been 'forgiven,' without Prime Minister Netanyahu's consent, an announcement that angered many and ultimately precipitated his termination of office within a few days.".
