Netanyahu spoke with the elected Hungarian Prime Minister and was invited to a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the 'Hungarian Uprising''

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hungarian Prime Minister-elect Péter Magyar held an introductory conversation this afternoon (Wednesday) that the Prime Minister's Office described as "warm.".

The elected Hungarian Prime Minister said that he intends to continue the close relations between Hungary and Israel, and even invited Prime Minister Netanyahu to participate in a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the 'Hungarian Uprising'.

Netanyahu welcomed his remarks and responded positively. He also invited Prime Minister-elect Magyar to a government-to-government meeting in Jerusalem (G2G).

Netanyahu expressed his confidence that the warm relations he had with outgoing Prime Minister Viktor Orban would continue during the term of office of the elected Prime Minister.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, "the two agreed that the foreign ministers of the countries will meet as soon as possible to discuss the continuation of the close relations between Israel and Hungary.".
