Forces from the Gaza Division of the Southern Command, together with the Shin Bet, on Saturday eliminated a squad of armed terrorists from the Hamas terrorist organization who approached the 'Yellow Line' - and were planning to carry out terrorist attacks against IDF forces operating in the central Gaza Strip, in the immediate future.
After an intelligence investigation, it can be determined that the attack eliminated Ali Sami Muhammad Shakra, commander of the Nuhba Department in Hamas, who invaded the territory of the State of Israel in the murderous massacre on October 7 and took part in the kidnapping of Hirsch Goldberg-Polin, Alon Ohel, Elia Cohen and Or Levi from the Migonit Re'im.
Also killed in this attack were Muhammad Mabhouh, commander of a regional company in Hamas' Al-Bureij Battalion, and Muhammad Fuad Gasser Sayyed - both of whom took part in holding Avinatan Or captive by Hamas.
In an unusual move, the IDF this evening revealed a photo of Muhammad Fuad Gasser Sayed, who served as a platoon commander in Hamas, when he was documented holding Avinatan Or captive inside a Hamas tunnel, and a photo of Ali Sami Muhammad who was present during the kidnapping of Hirsch Goldberg-Polin, the 14th.
Alongside the senior officials, the attack also eliminated additional Hamas Nuhba terrorists, including terrorists who were working to launch rockets toward Israeli territory.
Avinan Or responded after seeing the posts about the deaths of his captors. On his Instagram account, he posted a story with a picture of the terrorists - and wrote in Arabic and Hebrew: ""Every dog has its day - every dog has its day.".
